Stats & Photos 2014

The 2014 event was held on Saturday 26th April. 275 walkers and runners participated across the four routes . 11 retired without completing. However, although the rain mainly held off, we had a lot of rain on the preceding days and so the course was the muddiest we had seen it in the 15 years we have been running the event. On the 26.7 mile route the fastest completed in 3 hours 27 minutes at a speed of 7.74 mph, the slowest took 11 hours and 38 minutes at a speed of 2.30 mph. On the 21 mile route the fastest was 2 hours 37 minutes at 5.78 mph and the slowest 9 hours 0 minutes at a speed of 2.37 mph. The 17.5 mile route saw a fastest time of 4 hours 25 minutes at a speed of 3.96 mph and a slowest of 8 hours 19 minutes at 2.10 mph. Finally the 12.5 route fastest was 2 hours 17 minutes at 6.47 mph and the slowest was 7 hours 13 minutes at 1.73 mph. However charities have also benefited as hundreds of pounds were raised for various organisations. Please go to our charities page or links page for full details. Well done all who took part. More photographs will follow as they get sent in.

If you wish to compare your finishing time with everyone else go to the Finishing Times page.

  1. Thanks all for a great day, and a special thanks for the gluten free cakes at check point 4.

  2. a huge THANK-YOU to all of you for organising this amazing event. The people at all the manned check-points were full of smiles & encouraging talk. The food laid on was pure indulgence. The scenery was breath taking. Must mention how great it was to have un-limited cups of tea at the village hall half way round & more cups of tea at the finish. Thanks ladies & gentleman. xx
